Influence
The Kanjo SJ is an amalgamation of Honda Civic (EJ/EM) coupe models; the overall design and headlight shape are mainly based on the fifth-generation (EJ) models, while the side door handles and rear fascia are influenced by the sixth-generation (EJ/EM) models, with some additional influence from the European-spec facelifted fifth generation Honda Accord, especially seen in the tail lights. The front bumper was taken from the facelifted sixth generation models from 1999–2000, while the hubcaps were modeled after the ones used on the 1992–1997 models. The size of the headlights, as well as the shape and light setup, are an amalgamation of those from the fifth-generation Civic and second-generation Mitsubishi Eclipse, while the C-pillar is taken from the BMW 3 Series (E36) Coupe.
