Normally, the game gives you a wanted level if you take a car from a store. So I had to deal with it when making this mod. So, here is how it works:
When you buy a car, the mod keeps monitoring until you enter the car you just bought. When you do, the game gives you one star.
The mod should remove that star immediately, but for a brief second you will have a star.
However this only works if you stay in the store area. If you leave it, it will be like as if you didn't bought the car. Or if you did already had a star before entering the car.
I've tested a few times and it works with those limitations.
Let me know if you have a recurring problem, maybe some edge case I oversee.

I would like to make some interactive mod, but I could never make animations work. I don't know how to do it. I got to figure that out first.

Remove the ".sample" from the filename.
The bit that enables the icons should look like this:

blip_hotels = true

No way to change the keybinds at this time, sorry.
But it's one of the things on my to do list. If there is any particular keybinding you'd like to change, let me know bc I can prioritize that.
